Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented GL Accountant to join our team in the fast-paced telecommunications industry. As a GL Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records and provide crucial support in financial reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper expense coding and timely recording of transactions.
- Prepare and submit tax filings and assist with tax compliance activities.
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA or progress towards CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of telecommunications industry accounting practices is a plus.
